Two Courier Workers Abducted in Mastung, Ransom Demanded

MASTUNG: (Staff Reporter) – Two employees of a courier company were allegedly abducted by militants in Khad Kocha area of Balochistan, with the kidnappers reportedly demanding Rs250 million for their release.

According to details, the incident occurred on July 24, 2026, when armed individuals allegedly intercepted a courier company vehicle in Khad Kocha and took two employees along with the vehicle to an unknown location.

The abductors later contacted the company owner and demanded Rs250 million in ransom, allegedly warning of serious consequences for the hostages if their demands were not met.

Reports stated that the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has allegedly expanded its activities beyond armed attacks, with accusations of involvement in kidnapping for ransom, extortion, robberies, and attacks targeting civilians.

Commenting on the incident, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Talal Chaudhry told a private news channel that security challenges in Balochistan had intensified, with militants allegedly stopping vehicles and carrying out criminal activities openly.

He said the perception that individuals paying extortion could avoid attacks had created a serious challenge for law enforcement agencies working to maintain security in the province.
