Trump Warns of Big Attack Wave After Embassy Hit

Iranian drone strikes hit US embassies in Riyadh and Kuwait as regional conflict grows and global security fears increase rapidly.

US Embassies in Saudi Arabia – (Web Desk) – A major fire erupted after Iranian drones struck the US embassies in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait on Tuesday, sending thick smoke into the sky and raising fears of further escalation. The US State Department confirmed that two unmanned aerial vehicles hit the roof and outer perimeter of the US Embassy in Riyadh. Staff were ordered to shelter in place, and no injuries were reported, though minor structural damage and a limited fire occurred. Saudi air defenses said they intercepted several additional drones targeting the diplomatic quarter in Riyadh and nearby Al-Kharj.

The attack came amid a rapidly expanding conflict that began with joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran, which Tehran says killed dozens of civilians and its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran launched missiles and drones across the Gulf region, targeting military and strategic sites. Gulf nations including Qatar and the UAE reported intercepting ballistic missiles, while Kuwait also confirmed drone damage to its US embassy.

US President Donald Trump warned that a “big wave” of attacks could still be ahead and said the United States is prepared for a prolonged conflict if necessary. He outlined Washington’s objectives as dismantling Iran’s missile systems, navy, and nuclear program, while stopping its support for armed groups in the region. However, he stopped short of calling for regime change in Tehran.

Meanwhile, tensions continued to rise beyond the Gulf. Israel reported intercepting missiles launched toward its territory and carried out fresh strikes on Hezbollah targets in Beirut. Iranian officials vowed to defend the country at any cost, warning that vital shipping routes such as the Strait of Hormuz could be targeted, a move that would severely impact global oil supplies.

As explosions rocked Tehran and smoke hovered over diplomatic zones in the Gulf, the US State Department urged American citizens to leave several Middle Eastern countries due to growing security risks. The fast-moving crisis has shaken global markets, disrupted ener

“We knew that if we didn’t preemptively go after them before they launched those attacks, we would suffer higher casualties,” Rubio told reporters.
The United States hit more than 1,250 targets in the first 48 hours of the war against Iran, the US military said.

Targets struck included command-and-control centers, ballistic missile sites, Iranian navy ships and submarines, and anti-ship missile sites, according to a fact sheet released by the US Central Command, which is responsible for American forces in the region.

Australian Defence Minister Richard Marles said he could confirm reports that its military headquarters, the Al Minhad Air Base located just 24 kilometres (15 miles) south of Dubai in the UAE, had been hit over the weekend.

A total of six US military personnel has been killed since the start of the Iran war, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said Monday, raising the death toll from four.

“US forces recently recovered the remains of two previously unaccounted for service members from a facility that was struck during Iran’s initial attacks in the region,” CENTCOM said in a post on X.

The Israeli military issued new evacuation orders for dozens of locations in Lebanon on Tuesday, including warning residents in two southern Beirut neighbourhoods to stay away from several buildings ahead of an imminent operation.

Israel’s military on Monday vowed to intensify its attacks on the country and make Hezbollah pay a “heavy price” after rocket and drone fire from the Iran-backed militant group.

“Urgent warning to the residents of Lebanon, specifically in the villages which names are shown,” said a statement by the military’s Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee on Telegram, which listed 50 locations.

“For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately.”

Most of the locations were across the south of Lebanon, which Israel regularly targets with the aim of hitting Hezbollah infrastructure.
