Washington/Tehran (Web Desk) – U.S. President Donald Trump has warned Iran that if more protesters are killed during ongoing demonstrations, the United States could respond with a “very strong” action.
The protests have entered their second week, with Iranians expressing anger over inflation, the economic crisis, and the sharp decline of the Iranian rial.
Speaking to journalists aboard Air Force One, Trump said the U.S. is closely monitoring the situation and will respond forcefully if the Iranian government continues to use force against protesters.

The demonstrations began on December 28 in Tehran after a strike by shopkeepers. According to official figures, at least 12 people, including security personnel, have been killed so far.
Analysts say these protests are among the largest in Iran in recent years, surpassing even the movement that erupted in 2022-2023 following the death of Mahsa Amini.
