Washington — U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that if Hamas fails to return the bodies of hostages held in Gaza, countries that are part of the regional peace agreement will take action.

According to international media reports, President Trump said in a statement that Washington is closely monitoring developments over the next 48 hours regarding the return of hostages from Gaza.

He emphasized that if Hamas does not comply, other nations involved in the peace accord will intervene.

Meanwhile, during a brief stopover in Doha en route to Malaysia for the ASEAN Summit, President Trump met with the Emir of Qatar. During the meeting, he stated that Qatar is prepared to send peacekeeping forces to Gaza if necessary to help stabilize the situation.

The U.S. president’s remarks come amid growing international pressure on Hamas to release hostages and amid efforts by regional countries to maintain stability in the Middle East.
