Trump Confirms Heated Call With Netanyahu Over Lebanon
US Israel Tensions Rise After Trump Netanyahu Phone Clash
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – US President Donald Trump has acknowledged a tense phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in which he expressed strong frustration over Israel’s military escalation in Lebanon. Speaking in an interview with the New York Post, Trump confirmed that he used harsh language during the conversation, urging Netanyahu to reconsider continued strikes and warning against further escalation.
Trump said he was particularly concerned about Israel’s repeated military actions in Lebanon, adding that such moves could undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts involving Iran. Despite the sharp exchange, he stressed that he still maintains a positive working relationship with Netanyahu and described their cooperation as effective in the past.

The remarks come amid reports from Axios and ABC News suggesting internal disagreement between close allies over the direction of the conflict, which has already expanded across multiple fronts in the region, including strikes involving Israel and Lebanon. Israeli media, however, have disputed the reported details of the conversation.
A White House official referred to Trump’s public statements on Truth Social, where he noted discussions about troop movements around Beirut following the call.
