Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei to be laid to rest in Mashhad

Washington-(Special Correspondent)/Web Desk)- US President Donald Trump expressed support for the idea that Iran’s next leader should come from within the country following the assassination of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump mentioned Reza Pahlavi, describing him as “a very nice person,” but suggested that an internal figure might be a better choice to lead Iran.

Trump also stated that two rounds of joint US-Israeli strikes had eliminated several individuals he had considered as possible successors. “Most of the people we had in mind are dead. We now have another group, though reports suggest they may also be dead,” he said.
