Tri-Nation T20 Series: Sri Lanka Opt to Bat First Against Pakistan

Salman Ali Agha also stated that the team will aim to dismiss the Sri Lankan side for a low score.

ISLAMABAD: In the third match of the Tri-Nation T20 series, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat against Pakistan.

Pakistan’s national One-Day team captain, Shaheen Shah Afridi, is unavailable for today’s match due to injury. Speaking after the toss, Pakistan T20 captain Salman Ali Agha said that the pitch looks good for batting. He added that if Pakistan had won the toss, they would also have chosen to bat.

Salman Ali Agha also stated that the team will aim to dismiss the Sri Lankan side for a low score. He expressed confidence, noting that morale is high following Pakistan’s victory in the first match of the series.

Sri Lanka’s playing XI: Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Kamil Mishara, Kusal Perera, Dassen Shanaka, Janith Liyanage, Chamindu Mendis, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmantha Chameera, Vijay Kanth Viyaskanath, and Ishan Malinga.
