Tragic Blast at Swabi Police Station Claims Child’s Life, Injures 25

A devastating explosion at the city police station in Swabi district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has claimed the life of a child and left 25 others injured.

Police officials reported that the blast occurred due to a short circuit in the arms storage area, causing nearby barracks to collapse and trapping several people beneath the debris.

Rescue teams were swiftly deployed to free those trapped under the rubble, while local hospitals declared emergencies to handle the large number of injured victims.

The health department assured that all necessary medical care is being provided, though the condition of two individuals is reported to be critical.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has directed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Chief Secretary to immediately visit the blast site.

He stressed the importance of identifying the cause of the explosion and requested a comprehensive report. The Chief Minister also instructed that all affected individuals receive prompt medical care.
