Top Court orders open court hearing on refugees’ deportation case
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan Judge Justice Yahya Afridi has ordered to conduct an open court hearing on the petition filed against the mass deportation of illegal immigrants from Pakistan.
The top court issued the written order for the in-chamber hearing conducted by Justice Afridi on November 20.
It is pertinent to mention that Senator Farhatullah Babar, Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, and Mohsin Dawar filed a petition at the apex court, which the registrar returned with objections.
The petitioners later filed an in-chamber appeal against the objections raised by the Supreme Court registrar.
Justice Afridi conducted the in-chamber hearing on the petition and said that the objections of the registrar’s office are of a legal nature.
