Thrilling Races Kick Off DI Khan Off-Road Event Aimed at Youth & Tourism
Dera Ismail Khan-Under “DeraJaat 2025,” the much-anticipated Off-Road Challenge event has been launched near the CPEC M-14 on a specially designed 75-kilometer track.
The opening day featured excited races as expert drivers from Dera Ismail Khan and neighboring districts took part in various categories including Stock, Women’s, and Prepared Vehicle segments.
The event aims to channel youth energy into positive recreational activities while showcasing the region’s breathtaking landscapes and untapped tourism potential.
Today’s spotlight will be on the Prepared Category races, where dozens of skilled drivers are set to demonstrate their off-road mastery.Similarly,Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur will visit the race site and attend the closing ceremony as the chief guest.
Provincial Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Syed Fakhar Jihan, along with Director General Sports Abdul Nasir Khan and officials from departments such as WSSC, TMA, Health, Rescue 1122, and Information, attended the event on its first day.
A large number of local residents, guests, and motorsport enthusiasts also witnessed the electrifying action and extended warm hospitality to visitors arriving in convoys from distant areas.
Well-organized spectator zones, refreshment stalls, medical camps and robust security arrangements contributed to a vibrant and family-friendly atmosphere.
The organizers highlighted the socio-economic benefits of such events, stating, “These initiatives not only direct the youth toward constructive engagement but also fuel regional tourism and economic activity.”
The first day results of Off-Road Challenge 2025 were announced wherein, in Stock Category A,
1st position received by Muhammad Marwat in (48:14),2nd, Syed Fahad in (50:06),3rd Zafar Siam in (52:24).In Stock Category B,
1st position clinched by Rashid in (51:25),2nd ,Umar in (55:00)3rd , Afzal in (59:04).
In Stock Category C,
1st became Muhammad Dilshad in (53:44),2nd , Salam in (1:00:40),3rd, Syed Muhammad in (1:01:04).
In Stock Category D,
1st position achieved by Sahibzada Owais in (54:03),
2nd ,Shah Ji in (54:17) and
3rd, Usama in (54:59).
Similarly, in Women’s Category,
1st became Laleen Ehtesham in (54:20),2nd, Deena in (1:12:19) and 3rd Aila in (1:14:35).
Speaking to the media, Sports Minister Syed Fakhar Jihan emphasized the extensive efforts behind the event’s success, ensuring quality entertainment and engagement for all.
Member National Assembly Faisal Amin Gandapur praised the challenges overcome in preparing the demanding track and commended the district administration and line departments for their dedicated work.
City Mayor Umar Amin Khan Gandapur lauded the community’s hospitality and emphasized the positive image this event projects of Dera Ismail Khan, stating, “Our people are welcoming and warm-hearted and this event has proven just that.”
