Terrorist Commander Killed in Peshawar IBO: ISPR

Rawalpindi(Defense Reporter);Four security personnel were martyred during a joint intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Peshawar on Wednesday, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation culminated in a fierce firefight, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists, including the notorious Terrorist Commander Abdul Raheem.

Abdul Rahim, a high-profile target with a bounty of Rs 6 million on his head, was known for his involvement in various terrorist activities, including the killings of Captain Hussain Jahangir Shaheed and Havaldar Shafiqullah.

The successful operation marks an important victory against terrorism, avenging past atrocities and bringing justice to those affected.

Recovered from the terrorists were a significant cache of arms and ammunition, underscoring the threat they posed to security and stability in the region.

However, during intense exchange of fire, four brave sons of soil; Sepoy Muhammad Idrees (age: 34 years, resident of Swabi District), Sepoy Badam Gul (age: 34 years, resident of Kohat District) of Pakistan Army and Sub Inspector Tajmir Shah, (age: 38 years, resident of: Peshawar District) & Assistant Sub Inspector Muhammad Akram (age: 34 years, resident of Mansehra District) of CTD KPK, having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom.“Pakistan’s security forces stand shoulder to shoulder with other law enforcement agencies to ensure peace and stability across Pakistan and such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our resolve,” it concluded.

Additionally, three policemen, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) from CTD, sustained injuries during the operation.

ISPR emphasized that Pakistan’s security forces, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, remain committed to ensuring peace and stability nationwide.

Such sacrifices, the military’s media wing noted, serve to strengthen the resolve of the nation in its fight against terrorism.

President Asif Ali Zardari

President Asif Ali Zardari expressed his deep grief over the shahadat of personnel of security forces and law enforcement agencies during an intelligence-based operation in Hassan Khel area of Peshawar and paid tribute to their sacrifices.

The president lauded the security forces for sending the high profile terrorist and other anti-social elements to hell during the operation.

He also appreciated the display of professionalism and bravery of the security forces and law enforcement agencies. “The entire nation is standing behind its Jawans in the fight against terrorism. Terrorism will be rooted out,” he added. President Zardari prayed for the high ranks of the departed souls and for the bereaved families to bear the losses with fortitude.
