Police Raid Karachi Factory, Arrest Three Over Fake Medicines

KARACHI (Web Desk) – Karachi police arrested three workers and launched a manhunt for two others after raiding a factory reportedly producing counterfeit medicines, officials said on Monday.

The raid was conducted following credible information that fake medicines were being manufactured at the facility. Those arrested include Nauman, Ahmad Farooqi, and Faizan, who were working inside the factory, while the owner Siddique and his son Zaid Siddique managed to escape.

Authorities impounded a large quantity of cartons containing fake medicines. Police noted that the accused had been running the factory for only a short period. Siddique, the owner, has a history of previous arrests.

A case has been registered, and a search operation is underway to apprehend the remaining suspects. Officials stressed their commitment to cracking down on counterfeit medicine operations to protect public health.
