Mianwali-Terrorist Attack Foiled at Mianwali Checkpost.In a recent incident in the Mianwali district, a group of 12 to 14 terrorists launched a coordinated attack on the Quboolkhel checkpost, manned by Esakhel police. Armed with rocket launchers and hand grenades, the terrorists struck in the early hours, resulting in a violent clash.
The police at the checkpost responded with full force, effectively thwarting the assault. According to a spokesperson for the Mianwali District Police Officer, the terrorists were forced to retreat under the intense police response.

At the time of the attack, the Esakhel Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Station House Officer (SHO) were present, along with a substantial police contingent. Although two officers sustained minor injuries, the police successfully repelled the attack.
In the aftermath, a large-scale search operation was initiated to track down and apprehend the fleeing terrorists. Authorities suspect that the attackers may have sustained significant injuries during the firefight.

Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Usman Anwar praised the courage and swift reaction of the officers at the Quboolkhel checkpost. He highlighted that this incident is the ninth attack on Punjab police forces in recent months, affirming that the Punjab police remain a robust defense against terrorist activities on border checkposts.
In a separate event, a tragic accident occurred on the CPEC road when a car collided with a trailer, causing the vehicle to overturn and burst into flames. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but all three occupants of the car were pronounced dead at the scene.
The victims were on their way to Dera Ismail Khan when the collision happened. Their bodies were transported to the THQ hospital for identification. Rescue teams are investigating the accident to determine its cause and to ensure future safety on the road.
