TLP – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – Following an attack on security forces in Muridke, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) president Saad Rizvi and numerous party leaders face terrorism charges.
Sub-Inspector Muhammad Afzal filed the complaint against the group, accusing them of violent attacks and other major crimes.
The First Information Report (FIR) submitted at the City Muridke police station has 32 sections, including terrorism, murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, and robbery.
The FIR names TLP leaders Saad Rizvi, Anas Rizvi, Allama Farooq-ul-Hassan, Maulana Sajjad Saifi, and Mufti Wazir Ali.
Police said raids are underway to arrest those involved in the violence, adding that no one involved in taking the law into their own hands will be spared.
Meanwhile, state agencies have intensified efforts against individuals allegedly spreading misinformation and inciting unrest under the guise of protests.
Sources revealed that authorities have identified several individuals responsible for running disruptive campaigns on social media platforms like X (Twitter), Facebook, and WhatsApp.
A coordinated crackdown is expected to begin tonight, targeting accounts promoting false or provocative content, officials said.

According to reliable sources, the crackdown will extend to multiple cities, with more than 200 arrests anticipated nationwide.
