Television Actor Vikas Sethi Passes Away at 48
Known for Roles in Popular Indian Soaps and Bollywood Films
India-Vikas Sethi, the renowned television actor known for his roles in popular Indian soap operas such as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahiin To Hoga, passed away at the age of 48 on Sunday, September 8.
Sethi reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest while asleep at his Mumbai home. His body has been taken to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Throughout his career, Sethi was celebrated for his work in daily soaps and a few Bollywood films. In recent years, he had battled various health issues, including undergoing leg surgery in 2021. Despite these challenges, he remained committed to his recovery and frequently posted fitness and motivational updates on his social media.
Despite his efforts to regain normalcy, industry insiders revealed that the actor had been battling depression and financial difficulties in his later years.
In recent times, Sethi had ventured into film production, launching his own company, CK Pictures. However, his health and personal challenges appeared to overshadow his professional pursuits.
One of Vikas Sethi’s last social media posts was a touching tribute to his mother, celebrating Mother’s Day with her. He captioned the post, “HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY. MOM LOVE YOU (sic).”
In addition to his television career, Sethi also appeared in films like Oops!, Deewanapan, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. He is survived by his wife, Jhanvi, and their twin children.
