Imad Wasim has expressed disappointment after the Team Green lost three-match T20I series to Afghanistan in Sharjah as young guns found it difficult to perform on foreign pitch.

“Yes, we lost the series. We are really disappointed, really sad and really upset,” the top scorer of the second match from Pakistan side said, adding that he was short of words to express the feelings.

Saying it was not an excuse most of the players were youngsters, he said: “Tomorrow’s (Monday) game is important and we don’t want to get whitewashed”.

“I have never seen such a difficult wicket in the international cricket,” he said and vowed to perform well in the third match.

Imad Wasim’s unbeaten half-century went in vain as Afghanistan Beat Pakistan by seven wickets in the second T20I to take a 2-0 unassailable lead in the three-match T20I series here at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah on Sunday evening.

Afghanistan, chasing a target of 131 runs, got off to a solid start, thanks to Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s 44 runs and Ibrahim Zadran’s 38 runs.
