New Delhi – Ticket prices for the highly anticipated India-Pakistan clash in the ICC T20 World Cup have soared to unprecedented levels, drawing widespread attention and criticism.
The Diamond Club tickets for the match at New York Stadium are priced at an astonishing $20,000, equivalent to 5.6 million Pakistani Rupees. Even the general stand tickets are selling for $2,750, approximately 800,000 Pakistani Rupees.
Former IPL chairman, Lalit Modi, has taken to social media to criticize the ICC over the exorbitant ticket prices. Expressing his shock, Modi accused the ICC of prioritizing profit over fans’ engagement.
“Is the purpose of the World Cup in the USA to engage fans or to make money?” Modi questioned, highlighting the discontent among cricket enthusiasts regarding the steep prices.
