T20 World Cup 2026 Groups Revealed, Pakistan–India Showdown Set for Feb 15
Pakistan and India’s group is expected to include Netherlands, Namibia and USA.
ISLAMABAD: The groups and key fixtures for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 have been revealed, including details of the much-anticipated Pakistan–India showdown.
The mega event will take place from February 7 to March 8, 2026, with the official schedule set to be announced on November 25.
According to media reports, the tournament will feature 20 teams, divided into four groups of five. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 8 stage. Pakistan and India have reportedly been placed in the same group, with their high-voltage clash scheduled for February 15 in Colombo.
Pakistan and India’s group is expected to include Netherlands, Namibia and USA.
Co-hosts Sri Lanka, on the other hand, are likely to be grouped with Australia, Zimbabwe, Ireland and Oman.
Another group is expected to feature England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Nepal and Italy, while South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, UAE and Canada are likely to form the fourth group.

Tournament Venues
Matches in India will be played across Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi and Ahmedabad, while Sri Lanka will host games in Colombo and Kandy.
Pakistan’s matches will be hosted entirely in Sri Lanka.
The final is scheduled to be played in Ahmedabad, but if Pakistan qualifies for the final, the venue will be shifted to Colombo due to security and political considerations.
Semifinals will be hosted in Mumbai and Kolkata, though the final selection of venues will depend on which teams reach the knockout stage. If Pakistan qualifies for the semifinals, their match will also be played in Sri Lanka.
The ICC is expected to confirm all details when the official schedule is released later this month.
