USA;Bangladesh grabbed victory over Netherlands by restricting the batters to 134/8 in the 27th match of the T20 World Cup being played at Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown.
Chasing the target, the Netherlands didn’t have the best start as they lost both of their openers Michael Levitt (18 off 16) and Max O’Dowd (12 off 16) walked back to the pavilion leaving their side 32-2 in 5.4 overs.
Sybrand Engelbrecht made 33 runs while Scott Edwards made 25, Vikramjit Singh 26, Michael Levitt 18 and Max O’Dowd 12.
Earlier, the Netherlands won the toss and put Bangladesh to batting.
Bangldesh’s Shakib Al Hasan remained top scorer with 64 unbeaten runs while Tanzid Hasan made 35 runs.
Bangladesh beat 2014 champions Sri Lanka in their opening match but faced defeat in their second game to the Proteas.
