Sweden Schengen Visa: Pakistanis must provide bank statement for financial proof

The Swedish Embassy in Pakistan processes Schengen visa applications for Pakistani citizens and those legally residing in Pakistan.

KARACHI: Pakistani citizens applying for a Schengen visa to Sweden are now required to submit a bank statement as proof of sufficient funds to cover their stay in the country. This new requirement highlights the financial prerequisites for visitors to Sweden, a popular European destination known for its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.

Applicants must provide a bank statement showing the last six months of transactions, which must be signed and stamped by the bank. The daily required amount for tourists visiting Sweden is 80 euros. For a stay of 30 days, Pakistani applicants must demonstrate a total of 2,400 euros (approximately Rs 722,280, based on the current exchange rate of 1 euro = Rs 300.95).
