Lahore: (Web Desk) A suspected case of monkeypox has surfaced at Allied Hospital-I in Faisalabad, raising health concerns among local authorities and medical staff.
According to hospital officials, the patient was immediately shifted to an isolation ward after showing symptoms linked to the viral infection. Medical teams are closely monitoring the situation while precautionary measures have been strengthened inside the hospital.
Health Department Issues Alert Over Unsafe Drug Batches
The administration confirmed that samples from the patient have been sent to a laboratory for testing to determine whether the infection is monkeypox.
Sources said the patient is a resident of the Jhang Road area in Faisalabad. Health authorities are also tracing possible contacts to prevent further spread of the disease.
Hospital records indicate that around 15 monkeypox-related cases have already been reported at Allied Hospital Faisalabad, prompting increased surveillance and public health monitoring in the city.
