Surge in Street Crime Hits Islamabad: Dozens of Citizens Victimized
In response, special teams have been formed to track down and apprehend the culprits.
Islamabad: Street crime in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, has surged, with numerous residents falling prey to thefts, including gold jewelry, cash, and other valuables.
According to police reports, three individuals were murdered in the past week, while 40 street crime incidents were recorded across various neighborhoods.
During this period, 21 incidents of burglary led to the loss of cash and mobile phones, eight snatchings occurred, one robbery took place, and 86 thefts were reported. Additionally, 76 motorcycles and 10 vehicles were stolen.
