Supreme Court Rejects Bahria Town’s Plea to Halt Property Auction
“We will make a decision only after examining both sides,” he said during the proceedings.
ISLAMABAD – The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Saturday denied immediate relief to Bahria Town, dismissing its request to stop the auction of its properties.
A three-member bench, headed by Justice Aminuddin Khan, presided over the hearing. The court directed Bahria Town to submit copies of all references filed against the real estate giant and its owner, Malik Riaz.
Justice Aminuddin stated that the court could not grant a one-sided stay order without hearing the other party. “We will make a decision only after examining both sides,” he said during the proceedings.
The court has set the next hearing for August 13, where it will consider all primary and miscellaneous petitions related to the case.
The decision comes amid growing legal scrutiny of Bahria Town’s financial and real estate transactions, intensifying the pressure on one of Pakistan’s most prominent developers.
