Strong Earthquake Tremors Felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and Other Cities

ISLAMABAD: Strong tremors from an earthquake were felt in several cities of Pakistan, including the federal capital Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and surrounding areas.
Tremors were also reported in Murree, Bhimber, and Samahni in Azad Kashmir, as well as in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa such as Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Bajaur, and nearby regions.

According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 5.3 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received so far, but the tremors caused panic among residents, many of whom rushed out of buildings. Emergency services are monitoring the situation.
