Strong Earthquake Hits Indonesia’s Sulawesi Island, No Tsunami Warning Issued

Jakarta: A powerful earthquake struck Indonesia’s Sulawesi Island, causing widespread panic as strong tremors were felt across the region.
According to the Seismology Center, the earthquake measured 6.2 on the Richter scale. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency of Indonesia (BMKG) reported that the quake’s epicenter was located at a depth of 10 kilometers beneath the seabed.
Despite the intensity of the tremors, authorities confirmed that no tsunami warning was issued, as the earthquake was not expected to trigger large sea waves.
