Strong 5.4 Magnitude Quake Hits Multiple Cities Across Pakistan
Fear of Collapse Drives People to Evacuate Homes After Earthquake
A powerful earthquake, measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale, shook several cities across Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and the capital, Islamabad.
According to the Meteorological Department, the earthquake’s epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan. The department reported the earthquake’s depth as 215 km.
Tremors from the quake were also felt in the border regions of Afghanistan and Tajikistan, as noted by foreign media. However, a German research center recorded a different depth of 92 km for the earthquake.
