Sri Lanka Defeats Bangladesh in Third ODI to Clinch Series 2-1
The hosts maintained control throughout, not allowing the Bangladeshi batsmen to settle.
Colombo: Sri Lanka secured a convincing 99-run victory over Bangladesh in the third and final One Day International (ODI), winning the three-match series 2-1.
In the decisive match played in Colombo, Sri Lanka batted first and posted a total of 285 runs in their allotted 50 overs. Wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Mendis led the charge with a brilliant knock of 124 runs.
In response, Bangladesh were bowled out for just 186 runs, struggling against disciplined bowling from the Sri Lankan attack. The hosts maintained control throughout, not allowing the Bangladeshi batsmen to settle.
Kusal Mendis was named Player of the Match for his outstanding century and was also awarded Player of the Series for his consistent performance across the series.
