Colombo:(Web Desk) – Sri Lanka has announced its 15-member squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, with Dasun Shanaka named as captain.
According to the Sri Lanka Cricket Board, the squad includes Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Kamindu Mendis, Charith Asalanka, and Janith Liyanage. All-rounders Wanindu Hasaranga and D. Wellalage, along with spinner Maheesh Theekshana, have also been included.
The pace bowling attack will be led by Dushmantha Chameera, Ishan Malinga, and Matheesha Pathirana, who will shoulder the responsibility of Sri Lanka’s bowling in the tournament.

The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 is set to begin on February 7, with matches scheduled to be played in India and Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, despite raising several reservations, Pakistan has decided to participate in the ICC T20 World Cup, but has announced that it will not play its match against India.
