“Spirit of Freedom” Events Unite Pakistani Professionals Across Saudi Arabia
Over 450 gather in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Khobar to celebrate Independence Day and strengthen professional bonds
JEDDAH — In a vibrant display of patriotism and professional unity, the Saudi Pakistani Professionals Community (SPPC) hosted a series of Independence Day events titled “Spirit of Freedom” across Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Khobar, drawing over 450 Pakistani professionals from across the Kingdom.
Organized as simultaneous meetups, the events aimed to foster networking, create job opportunities, and strengthen community solidarity among Pakistani expatriates. Each city’s gathering was led by regional SPPC leadership, with notable participation from diplomatic officials, business leaders, and community influencers.
In Riyadh, the event was spearheaded by SPPC CRC President Hammad Siddiqui, with Najam Nawaz Saqib (CWA) and Consular Haseeb Sultan gracing the event. Jeddah’s meetup, hosted by SPPC WRC Vice President Ehtesham Hanif, welcomed Chaudhry Shafqat, President of the Investment Forum, and Trade & Development Officer Fahad Khan. Meanwhile, in Al-Khobar, SPPC ERC President Dr. Umair Khalid led the event, attended by Ms. Jannat Hussain Nekokara (CWA) and Sayed Aziz (CWA).
The gatherings featured networking sessions, job support booths, and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Voice of Startups Pakistan, signaling future collaboration for Pakistani startups and professionals.
SPPC Founder Faysal A. Ghauri, in his Independence Day message, underscored the importance of mutual support:
“Pakistanis must support each other — that is the core message of SPPC.”
He reiterated SPPC’s identity as a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization connecting over 4,000 Pakistani professionals in the Kingdom to promote career growth, social welfare, and community engagement.

The “Spirit of Freedom” celebrations served as a powerful reminder of the resilience, unity, and aspirations of the Pakistani diaspora in Saudi Arabia. With the upcoming SPPC Elevate 2025 scheduled for November, the momentum built through Rooh-e-Azadi is expected to broaden opportunities for Pakistani professionals, startups, and the wider community.
