Sony Announces PlayStation 5 Price Hike for Several Major Regions

ISLAMABAD: Sony has confirmed that it will raise the prices of the PlayStation 5 (PS5) in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, effective immediately. The company cited the challenging economic environment, high inflation, and fluctuating exchange rates as the main reasons for the price increases. This marks the second price hike for the PS5 since its release, following the initial increase in 2022.

What About PS5 Pro?
However, the PS5 Pro’s retail price will remain unchanged. Sony also announced a reduction in the price of the PS5 Disc Drive attachment, which will now be priced at €79.99/£69.99 in Europe and AUD 124.95/NZD 139.95 in Australia and New Zealand.
