ISLAMABAD: Expressing concern over urban challenges, Information Minister Murtaza Solangi has underscored the necessity of local governance systems in every province, stating that without local governments at the grassroots level, resolving issues becomes nearly impossible.

Addressing a two-day conference focused on identifying urban issues, Murtaza Solangi extended a warm welcome to the conference delegates, emphasizing that the objective of the conference is to highlight prevalent issues across the country.

Solangi stressed the need to find solutions to urban problems, asserting that tackling issues at the local level is essential, and without functional local governments, addressing challenges becomes unattainable. He reiterated that according to the law, a local governance system is imperative in every province.

The Information Minister acknowledged the government’s efforts in providing a platform for experts in both the public and private sectors, fostering collaboration through the conference. He emphasized that this conference is crucial for identifying and addressing the most pressing urban issues in the country.
