ISLAMABAD: The number of social media users in Pakistan has surged past 516.1 million, reflecting the country’s rapidly growing digital landscape.
According to a report obtained from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Facebook remains the most widely used platform, while X (formerly Twitter) ranks at the bottom of the list.

Facebook takes lead
With 101.6 million users, Facebook is the most popular platform in Pakistan, showing its continued dominance in the digital sphere.
- YouTube comes in second with 96.6 million users, thanks to its strong presence in video streaming and entertainment.
- WhatsApp ranks third, with 91.7 million active users, cementing its role as the country’s top communication app.
TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram follow behind
TikTok continues to grow in popularity, securing the fourth spot with 90.3 million users in Pakistan.
Meanwhile:
- Snapchat stands fifth with 79.8 million users
- Instagram takes sixth place with 49.9 million users
- X (formerly Twitter) is the least used platform with just 15.3 million users
