Snowfall Intensifies Cold Weather in Murree, Galyat, and Leepa Valley
Islamabad: Heavy snowfall in Murree, Galyat, and Leepa Valley has significantly increased the cold, with 4 to 5 inches of snow already reported in Galyat and snow starting in Murree.
Shah Rukh, Director General of the Galyat Development Authority, mentioned that the Abbottabad Galyat Development Authority staff is actively working on maintaining traffic flow on Murree Road. He added that roads are being cleared using heavy machinery and advised tourists to bring warm clothing and park their vehicles in safe spots away from the roadside.
In Murree, snow continues to fall, with cold winds further intensifying the chill. Fog and clouds have enveloped the valley, reducing visibility.
Muree City Traffic Police have urged drivers to use fog lights during dense fog and to check the weather and traffic updates before traveling to the area.

Rain with thunder and lightning has also been reported in Sudhnoti, Trarkhal, and Plandri. In Leepa Valley, heavy snowfall has blocked access to the region, with over a foot of snow on higher grounds and up to 4 inches in villages.
The ongoing snowfall and road blockages in Leepa Valley are causing difficulties for residents, with the situation expected to last for another 12 hours.
