Charsadda— Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has taken a significant step toward enhancing gas supply in the Charsadda district by inaugurating a new 8-inch diameter gas pipeline stretching 24 kilometers from Charsadda SMS to Tangi SMS. The project aims to double the gas transmission capacity from 10 MMCFD to 20 MMCFD, significantly improving supply pressure in Tangi and surrounding areas.
The inauguration ceremony was held today with Mr. Saqib Arbab, Deputy Managing Director (Operations) of SNGPL, as the Chief Guest. The event was attended by Senior General Manager Mr. Khurram Ayub Khan, other senior executives, and the project implementation team.
In his address, Mr. Saqib Arbab highlighted the importance of the new pipeline in strengthening the company’s distribution network and addressing long-standing supply challenges. “This project reflects our commitment to modernizing our infrastructure and improving customer service across our franchise areas,” he said. “Once operational, this pipeline will eliminate issues of low gas pressure and ensure a stable and uninterrupted gas supply, particularly during the winter season when demand peaks.”
