SNGPL Cracks Down on Gas Theft: 35 Connections Cut, Rs 1.7 Million in Fines
In Gujranwala, two illegal connections were cut off, with fines amounting to Rs 0.53 million.
LAHORE – In an intensified effort to combat gas theft, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has disconnected 35 illegal connections across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad, imposing fines amounting to Rs 1.7 million.
In Lahore, SNGPL teams disconnected eight illegal gas connections, resulting in fines totaling Rs 1.05 million. In Multan, 17 connections were severed for illegal use of gas, with an additional two disconnections for the use of compressors.
The crackdown in Faisalabad led to the disconnection of two connections, accompanied by fines of Rs 0.03 million. Bahawalpur saw one disconnection for illegal gas use and two more for compressor usage.

In Gujranwala, two illegal connections were cut off, with fines amounting to Rs 0.53 million. Lastly, Sheikhupura had one disconnection, resulting in a fine of Rs 0.11 million.
