SNGPL Intensifies Gas Theft Crackdown: 69 More Connections Disconnected in Punjab, KP, and Islamabad; Fines Totaling Rs 1.15 Million Imposed

Lahore – In its ongoing efforts to curb gas theft, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has conducted a series of raids across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad, leading to the disconnection of an additional 69 illegal gas connections. The company has also imposed fines amounting to Rs 1.15 million on those involved in gas pilferage.

In Lahore, 19 illegal connections were severed, and fines of Rs 0.12 million were imposed for gas theft cases. Faisalabad witnessed the disconnection of six illegal connections, along with fines totaling Rs 0.09 million. The Sheikhupura region reported the disconnection of two connections, with Rs 0.77 million in fines imposed. In Multan, 32 illegal connections were disconnected, while the team in Sahiwal levied Rs 0.17 million in fines. Additionally, 10 illegal connections were cut off in Bahawalpur.
