Singer Ali Zafar announces title of PSL 2024 anthem
The much-anticipated T20 league is scheduled to commence on February 17 in Lahore.
ISLAMABAD: Renowned singer-cum-actor Ali Zafar has unveiled the title for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 season 9: “Khul Ke Khel.” In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Zafar expressed his enthusiasm for the theme of fearlessly playing and living, inviting fans to prepare their dancing shoes for the anticipated event.
This announcement follows confirmation by the PSL that Zafar will be lending his voice to the league’s anthem, marking his fourth consecutive anthem for one of the world’s premier cricket tournaments. Despite previous controversies, Zafar’s return to the PSL anthem signifies a notable milestone in his longstanding association with the league.
Amidst speculations, it is anticipated that Zafar may collaborate with Aima Baig, who has been part of the PSL anthems for the 2021 and 2022 editions, adding further excitement to the musical extravaganza.
The much-anticipated T20 league is scheduled to commence on February 17 in Lahore, with defending champions Lahore Qalandars facing off against Islamabad United in the opening match. With six teams vying for victory in the 34-match T20I tournament, all eyes are on Shaheen Shah Afridi, captain of Qalandars, as he aims to clinch the title for the third time in the league’s history.
