Sindh Schools Reopen After Summer Vacations Across Province

Government, Private Schools Resume Classes in Sindh After Summer Break

Karachi: (Staff Reporter) –  Government and private educational institutions across Sindh have reopened after the completion of summer vacations, marking the beginning of the new academic session.

According to reports, schools resumed operations on Saturday, while around 75 percent of private schools in the province are expected to fully reopen from August 3, 2026 (Monday).

Some private institutions had already started limited administrative activities with reduced staff ahead of the formal reopening.

The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department had earlier issued clarification regarding working days for private educational institutions and announced that all public and private schools under its administrative control would follow a six-day working week from Monday to Saturday.

The new schedule came into effect from August 1, 2026, and will remain applicable until further orders.

School administrations completed necessary preparations before reopening, including classroom arrangements and other academic requirements, to ensure a smooth start to the new education session.
