Sindh Launches Water Sports at Kenjhar Lake to Boost Tourism

Sheikh reiterated the government’s commitment to making Kenjhar Lake a tourist hotspot

KARACHI, The Sindh government has launched water sports activities at Kenjhar Lake near Thatta district as part of a comprehensive plan to promote tourism and recreational activities in the province.

Sindh Culture and Tourism Minister Zulfiqar Shah announced the pilot program, marking a significant step towards developing the area into a major tourist destination.

Last year, the government outlined ambitious plans to transform Kenjhar Lake into a world-class tourism hub, featuring water sports and paragliding. The Sindh Energy Minister, Imtiaz Sheikh, chaired a key meeting that solidified these plans.

Sheikh reiterated the government’s commitment to making Kenjhar Lake a tourist hotspot. He highlighted the ongoing search for a suitable location to construct a modern tourist resort. This project is expected to not only enhance the area’s appeal but also foster cultural exchange between domestic and international visitors. The proposed resort will boast modern amenities, ensuring a high-quality experience for guests.
