Sindh Govt Declares Public Holiday in 14 Districts: Here’s Why!

KARACHI — The Sindh government has announced a public holiday on Wednesday, September 24, in 14 districts across the province to facilitate voter participation in the upcoming local body by-elections.

According to an official notification, all government offices, educational institutions, and provincial departments in the affected districts will remain closed for the day to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the polling process.

Districts to Observe Holiday:

  2. Sukkur

  3. Khairpur

  4. Mirpurkhas

  5. Umerkot

  6. Matiari

  7. Hyderabad

  8. Jamshoro

  9. Dadu

  10. Badin

  11. Thatta

  12. Karachi West

  13. Karachi East

  14. Keamari
