Sindh Governor Tessori hosts farewell dinner for German Consul General

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori hosted a grand farewell dinner in honour of German Consul General Rudiger Lotz at Governor House, marking the end of the envoy’s diplomatic tenure in Pakistan.

The event was attended by high-level diplomats, including the Consul Generals of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Türkiye, Oman, Kuwait, Malaysia, Iran, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Bahrain, and Bangladesh, along with several other foreign dignitaries, making it a night of significant diplomatic engagement.

In a heartfelt gesture, Governor Tessori and Consul General Lotz cut a farewell cake, followed by a spectacular fireworks display, adding grandeur to the evening.

During the address, Governor Sindh praised Rudiger Lotz for his dedicated service, calling his role in strengthening Pakistan-Germany relations commendable. He noted that successful bilateral diplomacy has led to deeper mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries.

“This dinner is a strong symbol of the enduring ties between Pakistan and Germany,” said Governor Tessori, highlighting the consistent progress in diplomatic and economic relations.

Consul General Rudiger Lotz expressed gratitude for the hospitality and said it had been an honor to serve in Pakistan, noting that Pakistan-Germany ties have entered a new dimension. He also praised Governor Tessori’s welfare initiatives and acknowledged his significant role in advancing bilateral relations.
