Sindh Government Announces Stipend for Schoolgirls

The government aims to support girls’ education and encourage regular attendance through this initiative.

KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced a stipend program for schoolgirls across the province.

According to the Education Department, only girls enrolled in schools that have a valid SEMIS code will be eligible to receive the stipend. The scheme applies to students of Class 6, 9, and 10 for the academic year 2024–25.

As per the official notification, a minimum of 60% attendance is required during the months of August, September, October, November, and December for students to qualify.

The government aims to support girls’ education and encourage regular attendance through this initiative. Parents and students have welcomed the move, calling it a step in the right direction to improve access to education for girls in Sindh.
