KARACHI: Sindh’s Provincial Minister for Universities and Boards, Ismail Rahu, has shared important news for students regarding the introduction of an e-marking system in examinations.
Speaking at a meeting of the Inter Board Coordination Commission, the minister said that the province will adopt an e-marking system to ensure transparent and efficient examinations. He noted that the current manual marking process often causes delays in preparing results, but e-marking will make the process faster and more accurate. Some boards have already started using e-marking for selected subjects.
The minister added that modern technology will be used at every stage, from preparing question papers to evaluating answers, and that board operations will gradually shift to a fully modernized system.
He also announced that the recruitment of 70,000 to 80,000 teachers has been completed, and efforts will be made to bring children back to schools.
Speaking on the ICCBS (International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences) matter, Rahu said the issue has been forwarded to the law department. He assured that all stakeholders, donors, and the University of Karachi will be taken into confidence to strengthen and stabilize the institution.
