Significant Drop in Solar Panel System Prices Across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Prices of solar panel systems for homes and offices in Pakistan have seen a notable decline. According to media reports, the cost of a 5 kW system has dropped to PKR 550,000 from the previous PKR 600,000.

Similarly, a 7 kW system now costs PKR 600,000, while the price of a 10 kW system, previously between PKR 1,050,000 and PKR 1,100,000, has decreased to around PKR 950,000 to PKR 1,000,000.

A 15 kW solar system, earlier priced between PKR 1,400,000 and PKR 1,450,000, is now available for PKR 1,250,000 to PKR 1,300,000.

The significant price drop is attributed to temporary reductions of 30 to 40 percent in profit margins by traders and solar companies.
