Sialkot Stallions Rebranded as Multan Sultans
PSL Franchise Sialkot Stallions Officially Becomes Multan Sultans
LAHORE: (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Sialkot Stallions has officially been rebranded as Multan Sultans, PSL Chief Executive Salman Naseer confirmed on Tuesday.
The announcement was made during a joint press conference attended by Salman Naseer, franchise owner Hamza Majeed, and Gauhar Shah, head of CD Ventures, which has now entered a strategic partnership with OZ Developers, the original owners of the Sialkot Stallions franchise.
OZ Developers had acquired the Sialkot Stallions for Rs 185 crore for a 10-year period during the team auction held in Islamabad. Under the new partnership, Gauhar Shah has been appointed CEO, and the franchise has been renamed Multan Sultans. PSL officials said the annual value of the franchise has now increased to Rs 2 billion following these developments.

Salman Naseer noted that the rebranding request came from Gauhar Shah after assuming leadership, and it was approved to strengthen the team’s identity and representation of South Punjab. He said, “Sialkot Stallions will now join as Multan Sultans.”
Gauhar Shah emphasized the importance of maintaining Multan’s identity in the league. “A single Stallion cannot win the PSL — a Stallion needs a Sultan to move forward, and we have come as Sultans,” he said.
Speculation about the future of the Sialkot franchise had surfaced in recent weeks, including reports of share sales by OZ Developers and financial challenges, but the latest announcement confirms the official transition.
The Pakistan Super League Season 11 is scheduled to take place from March 26 to May 3, 2026.
