Sialkot Airport closes as flooding grounds all flights

Travel Plans Disrupted as Runway is Submerged

Sialkot—(Special Correspondent/Web Desk) – Flight operations at Sialkot International Airport were stopped for twelve hours on Tuesday. This happened because heavy rains caused serious flooding in the city and nearby regions.

Following an official alert from the Pakistan Airport Authority, the airport was closed from ten in the morning until ten at night. Many passengers had their travel plans suddenly changed, leading to widespread inconvenience.

Airport managers have stated that flights will only start again once the floodwater is fully pumped away. They must ensure the runway is completely safe for aircraft to use.
