Shubman Gill Out of Second Test Against South Africa

ISLAMABAD: Indian captain Shubman Gill has been ruled out of the second Test against South Africa, with Rishabh Pant set to lead the team in his absence.

According to Indian media, Gill sustained a neck injury during the first Test and was hospitalized for treatment before being discharged.

The second and final Test of the series will begin tomorrow. South Africa currently leads the series 1-0.

In the first Test, South Africa defeated India by 30 runs. Chasing a target of 124 runs in the second innings, India was bowled out for 93. Shreyas Patel scored 26 runs, and Ravindra Jadeja added 18 runs.

For South Africa, Simon Harmer took four wickets, while Keshav Maharaj and Marco Jansen claimed two wickets each.
