Shubman Gill Dropped from India’s T20 World Cup Squad

Despite similar concerns over form, batter Suryakumar Yadav has been retained as captain.

MUMBAI: Indian selectors have dropped Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill from the T20 squad for the upcoming World Cup in February following a prolonged slump in form. Gill, 26, has scored only 291 runs in his last 15 T20 matches at an average of 24.25.
