Sheikh Rashid Barred from Traveling Abroad Despite Court Orders
Sheikh Rashid further stated that he plans to approach Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan’s court regarding contempt of court.
ISLAMABAD: Former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid was stopped from leaving the country at Islamabad International Airport, despite a Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench order directing that his name be removed from the passport control list and the PNR list.
In a video statement, Sheikh Rashid said that Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan had allowed him to travel for Umrah and that copies of the court orders had been sent to the relevant authorities.

He added that the court had given clear instructions to ensure no obstruction, but when he arrived at the airport, he was prevented from traveling and told he could not leave the country.
Sheikh Rashid further stated that he plans to approach Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan’s court regarding contempt of court. He remarked, “In a country where High Court orders are not implemented, one can only look to the skies. Allah will allow me to perform Umrah, and those responsible will have to feel ashamed of their actions.”
