According to the case statement, on August 5, Rubel participated in a protest march on Ring Road in Adabor. Allegedly, shots were fired into the crowd as part of a premeditated conspiracy, hitting Rubel in the chest and abdomen.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, Rubel tragically passed away on August 7 due to his injuries.
